is it possible to change the gateway id of the node ? With nw_conf you change the SSID of the Public and Private APs. If you want to change the GatewayID of the wifidog.conf file, you have to do it by hand (in /etc/init.d/nightwing watch the code after the comment "## Set config for WiFiDog"). Helene Gauthier

You may have problems with that. iptables accept a specific size for the character chains Iptables rules are apply with the ID

OK, but is it the problem with your rules of IPTables or with IPTables only Because ZAP Sherbrooke use mac address without : You can see it at this address https://auth.zapsherbrooke.org/node_list.php

Iptables chain length. Perhaps this could be a solution If you want to support what you're asking, you will need to modify the script like this in line 108: ## Determine nodo_id for the first time. Then it could be changed. NODE_ID=$(echo $LAN_MAC| tr -d :)
But you need put a short PUBLIC_SSID and PRIVATE_SSID with nw_conf
