If you dont have Mac Address is a hardware problem.
No software problem.

OK, I flashed two PicoStation2 to test my firmware

Some idea ?

We have not done tests with that hardware.
I did not have that in mind in the last answered.

Maybe the problem is this line:

LAN_MAC=$(ifconfig $LAN_IFACE | grep HWaddr | awk '{print $5}')

Waht do you see if you enter this command?

# ifconfig eth0

Please paste the result.
